The boys at Central Coast Rescue had a busy afternoon today, after rescuing a man who had fallen onto rocks at Soldiers Beach.
Emergency and rescue crews arrived on the scene at Soldiers Beach at around 4.30pm this afternoon after reports the man had fallen onto rocks around the headland area.
After locating the man near the shoreline, it was suspected he had suffered spinal injuries. Rescue crews assisted with the extrication of the patient in a stokes litter stretcher, before carrying him out along the rock platform and up the cliff face to the waiting ambulance. He was then transported to hospital in a stable condition.
After leaving the scene, Central Coast Rescue Squad came across a two vehicle, head on collision at Wallarah Road, Toukley. They rendered assistance to five patients until paramedics arrived. No serious injuries were reported.
