14 year old bike rider airlifted to hospital after collision with car

Police are investigating after reports a teen on a bicycle and a car collided this afternoon. 

Shortly before 2pm today, emergency services were called to Gumnut Close, Glenning Valley after a 14-year-old boy collided with a car. 

The boy, who was not wearing a helmet, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before he was taken to Westmead Children’s hospital, with serious injuries. 

The driver of the vehicle, a 52-year-old woman, was treated for shock and taken to Wyong Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing. 

Police have established a crime scene and currently conducting an investigation.
