Child grabbed at Tuggerah

Police are investigating a child approach incident at Tuggerah yesterday.

About 3.45pm yesterday (Thursday 26 November 2015), a 13-year-old boy was walking east in the breakdown lane on Wyong Road, Tuggerah, when a silver coloured sedan pulled up in front of him. As the boy walked past the vehicle, the male driver reached out through one of the windows and grabbed the boy by the arm.

The man offered him a lift, however the boy refused. He left go of his arm and the vehicle pulled back onto the line of traffic and drove east on Wyong Road, towards the Chittaway Bay area. The boy returned home and reported the incident to his mother, who contacted police.

The man has been described as Caucasian appearance, 50-60 years old, with a large nose and chubby build. He had short grey hair, and was wearing a grey short sleeved t-shirt with a black logo, and dark blue underpants or football shorts. The vehicle has only been described as a silver coloured sedan, possibly a Toyota Camry, with a NSW partial registration of CYS.
