A woman has died after falling from a horse near Gosford today.
Just before 1.30pm (Saturday 2 April 2016), emergency services, including the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, were called to Glenworth Valley, on Cooks Road, Calga, after reports a 52-year-old woman had fallen from a horse.
Police have been told she was riding a horse with friends when she fell.
They rendered CPR to the woman.
NSW Ambulance Paramedics arrived to provide assistance, however, she died at the scene.
Officers attached to Brisbane Water Local Area Command attended and commenced investigations.
"It is thought that the woman suffered a medical event which led to her falling off the horse,” Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service said in a statement. Police have yet to confirm this.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
