Teen arrested after garage fire

A man has been charged after he allegedly caused a fire in a garage today in Gosford. 

About 2.05pm (Tuesday 15 November 2016), emergency services were called to Faunce Street, Gosford, following reports of a garage fire. 

Officers from Fire & Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze. 

Police from Brisbane Water Local Area Command arrested two males – aged 18 and 12 – a short distance away. 

They were both taken to Gosford Police Station. 

The 12-year-old boy was released pending further inquiries. 

The 18-year old man was charged with damaging property by fire and trespass. 

He was given strict conditional bail to appear before Gosford Local Court on Tuesday 29 November 2016,
