Man charged after alleged knife threat at Gosford

A man will face court after allegedly threatening a man with a knife at a shop in Gosford last night.

Just after 7.30pm (Tuesday 1 December 2015), a 39-year-old man entered a bottle shop on Donnison Street armed with a knife. It’s alleged the man threatened another man, who was inside the store, with the knife.

Police from Brisbane Water Local Area Command were notified and attended a short time later, arresting a 39-year-old man nearby. He was taken to Gosford Police Station where he was charged with assault, intimidation, and wielding a knife in a public place.

The man was refused bail, to appear before Gosford Local Court today (Wednesday 2 December 2015).
