Mother charged with murder after body found at Wadalba

A woman has been charged with murder after her son’s body was located in a home near Wyong last night. 

Just after 11.30pm (Friday 22 January 2016), emergency services were called to a home on Orchid Way, Wadalba, after a 26-year-old man was found dead inside the premises. 

Police attended and established a crime scene that was examined by specialist forensic officers. 

A 55-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and taken to Wyong Police Station, where she was charged with murder. 

She was refused bail to appear before Wyong Local Court tomorrow (Sunday 24 January 2016). 

Investigations are continuing and police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident that has not yet spoken to police, are urged to make contact.
