Police appeal for information after womans body found

Police are appealing for information following the discovery of a woman’s body in the water on the Central Coast today.

About 10.30am this morning, (Sunday 24 April 2016), emergency services were called to Snapper Point following the discovery of a body face down inside the blow hole.

On arrival, officers with the assistance from Westpac Rescue Helicopter recovered the body of the woman. 

Detectives from State Crime Commands Homicide squad, with the assistance of officers from Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Command, have commenced an investigation into the women’s death.

Police are appealing for information from the public as they continue their investigations. In particular, police would like to hear from anyone who has visited the National Park in recent days.

The woman, who is yet to be identified, is described as being of Asian appearance and believed to be aged between 20 and 35 and approximately 170cm tall.. 

A post mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
