Police charge man after teens approached

Police Transport Command officers have charged a man following an incident at Wyong earlier this week.

About 2.30pm on Tuesday 9 June 2015 two girls aged 16 and 17 were sitting at the bus interchange at Wyong Railway Station when they were approached by a man.

The male allegedly spoke to both girls before touching the younger female indecently.

The girl was distressed and moved away while the older girl told the man to leave, which he did.

Both girls left the area and reported the matter to police who commenced an investigation.

Shortly after 7am today (Thursday 11 June 2015) officers from the Police Transport Command attended a home at Balcolyn and arrested a 26-year-old man.

He was taken to Toronto Police Station and later charged with assault with act of indecency and common assault.

The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Toronto Local Court on 15 July 2015.
