Police pursuit ends with car into a tree

Police are investigating after a car crashed following a pursuit in Noraville early this morning.

About 12.10am (Friday 25 March 2016), officers attached to Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Command attempted to stop a silver coloured Subaru WRX on Main Road, Toukley.

The driver of the Subaru allegedly failed to stop and a pursuit was commenced.

A short time later the Subaru left the roadway on Budgewoi Road, and crashed into a tree.

The driver, an 18-year-old man, was treated at the scene by Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to John Hunter Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A crime scene has been established and investigations are continuing.
