Teen injured, driver flees, in Pearl Beach crash

A teenager has been injured in a serious crash on the Central Coast yesterday.

About 5pm (Tuesday 10 January 2017), a blue Toyota Starlet with four male occupants was travelling north on Warrah Trig Road, Pearl Beach, when the vehicle crashed and rolled.

The front passenger, a 16-year-old boy, was pinned under the car.

The three other occupants exited the vehicle without injury and the driver fled the scene.

Emergency services arrived and the injured boy was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital with a serious arm injury.

A crime scene was established and officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstance surrounding the crash.

Inquiries are continuing to locate the driver.
