Woman killed in horror crash

A woman has died after a horror collision between two cars at North Gosford this morning.

The crash happened at the intersection of the Pacific Highway and Dwyer Street about 6.05am (Saturday 3 September 2016), after a Commodore and a small sedan collided. 

A woman, believed to be aged in her 60s, was trapped for more than 15 minutes while officers from Fire & Rescue NSW worked to free her. 

She was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Gosford Hospital, but sadly has since passed away. 

Two women travelling in the Commodore were also been taken to Gosford Hospital as a precaution. 

Crash Investigation Unit officers spent several hours at the scene.
